Hitcher Crabs (5+1 sentence meme)

The meme: submit a sentence to the author, and the author writes 5.
The result: saner cannot count.
She didn’t think it was meant to look quite like THAT but …
Well, it did exactly what Skyguy said it would do. It toasted bread, made tea, could even manage some minor meal preparation, and it cleaned up after itself. The little droid was beautifully efficient, and cooked better than Anakin.
Of course, Skyguy hadn’t mentioned that it would try to follow her around wherever she went, and that it would look rather mournful if she ever left it behind. When she would return to her quarters later, it would actually mope and slowly shuffle along the walls, in the shadows, sniffling dejectedly.
One day Ahsoka gave up and simply dared it to follow.
It followed her around all day—not just through the Temple, but outside it also, and all the way to the Senate dome, riding along beside her in the transport. It moved rather gracefully, and no one seemed to want to question the crab-shaped… thing.
That was all very well, because she’d arrived just in time to witness a rather aggressive group of reporters swarming Chancellor Organa. Ahsoka sighed, steeled herself for a lengthy bit of shoving through the crowd, and pushed forth, only to find her progress oddly easy.
By the time she made it to the Chancellor’s side, he was staring at something about the level of her knee, which was when Ahsoka realised her droid hitchhiker was rather actively spinning blades and already beginning to draw blasters out.
“What the—do those power the toaster?”
The droid whirred at her, which she took to mean ‘yes’.
“And did you really just stab someone—no, sorry, a lot of someones—in the leg with the same knives you use to prepare dinner?”
Ahsoka had never seen a droid tense up before, but that was definitely it. “That’s disgusting. You are so sterlising that when we get back to quarters.”
The little beastie looked somewhere between offended and dejected again. Bail, infuriatingly, just looked amused. “I have no idea how I’m explaining that to anyone unless your friend here is the prototype for next-gen Senate Security.”
Ahsoka shook her head, trying for a rueful expression that twisted into a half-grin entirely against her will. “It’s in beta testing. Please address all questions to Master Skywalker.”
She should have anticipated Anakin all but barreling into her quarters later that day to ask why he was getting questions about some Senate Security droid prototype. But at that moment Ahsoka didn’t feel the least bit remorseful. After all, she got to enjoy his complete double-take at the sight of her finishing dinner and gently stroking the droid’s carapace, enjoying the trilling purr it made in response.
“O-kay, I didn’t know it could do that,” Anakin admitted.
“Hitcher.”
Anakin blinked. “What?”
Ahsoka grinned. “Oh, I named him. He’s called Hitcher now.”
“Why Hitcher?”
“You know, hitcher crabs? With spiky shells and slow-acting venom? Live in a desert?” Ahsoka gave Hitcher another pat. “He helped thin out a stampede of journalists and paparazzi today, his assistance was utterly invaluable.”
To her amusement, the droid puffed up proudly.
Anakin blinked. “I see. Star of the newstream, are you, Hitcher?”
The droid gave an excited titter, then grabbed Ahsoka’s plate over cries of protest—”Hey! I wasn’t finished with that!”—and scuttled away.
